Mine is going to have a 17" black rim with a 130/80 tire.
What size tire is on yours?
There is a lip that sticks out on the rotor side that protrudes into the center of the rotor. Did you leave that off when you faced that side?
Did you use an end mill bit in a knee mill to machine off the two sides?
I was thinking about using a lathe.
The tires are Coker Firestone replicas 5.00" x 16". They're bias ply, so not super stable, but I'm not concerned. I didn't build this to handle like a rocket.

I had plans to use the lathe to modify the hub, but there are no concentric diameters to clamp in the chuck. I didn't want to have to take off any more meat than I had to, so I performed the boring and facing operations on a vertical mill. I clamped the hub right to the table. You may be able to use a mandrel or fixture of some type in the lathe, but the mill was a better option for me. The lip that locates the brake rotor was faced off. The bolts do a good enough job locating the rotor so that radial run-out was not an issue.

I used a boring head for the inner diameter boring procedure, and a 3" (shell?) mill with 10 indexable bits to face the ends off. I basically removed as much on the ends as I could so that the primary bearing sat flush and the secondary bearing was in as far as possible without affecting the integrity of the hub body.

Okay, so I finally remembered to get a picture of a wheel. This is a different wheel, but the idea is the same. Removal of material to match the lower lip height.

Exhaust started, needs to be finish welded with some turn outs. Thinking about making up some fancy tips. Most likely going to wrap them. Also need a mounting bracket. So... not quite there yet.

How much did your front end conversion end up costing you?
Would you mind listing the parts and prices?

Here is mine, chucked up in the lathe.

Haha, ok that works. Didn't think of chucking the inside diameter. Might have to try that next time.

I put the bearing back in on the rotor side and then ran the bit holder chuck tight into it to keep it steady. I'm removing 1/2". How much did you remove?

Honestly can't remember the numbers I came up with. More came off from the right side of the hub though.
