Got to have pretty good nerves, even though you can't beat the price, I would be pretty anxious about having somebody paint my Harley, without a lot of input.
That's how much I hated those pink flames on the last paint job. haha Anything has to be better than that. Down to the final days, he keeps extending on me, but sounds like he's almost done with paint. Hoping this coming weekend I'll be putting my bike back together. As far as teardown, it's a lot easier than you think. The only part that's kind of a pain is the wiring, but if you label everything it's pretty easy to piece back together. The way I do it, is one system at a time. Start with a zip lock baggie and a sharpie, label the bag, then take something off the bike and put all the bolts and hardware that go with it in the baggie. Do that with everything on the bike and you'll have it apart in no time. I think teardown was around 8 hours total on mine, then probably over 100 hours degreasing, cleaning, polishing everything I took off lol It's been about 10 years since I've had the bike stripped down to the frame, and it's had several oil leaks and busted lines since then, quite a bit of crud build up where I couldn't get to it without removing the motor from the frame.
