Looks great man. Good luck with the badges. They can be tricky to find.

Oh man, wish I had that tank! That would definitely help me out. With work, school, and the ladies house being in completely opposite positions I fill up probaby 3 times a week!

Default New tank on my Forty Eight

I have a '15 Iron with a 3.3 gallon tank. I sometimes think of going to a 4.5 in order to get longer distances between fill ups. But I *really* like the look of my 3.3 peanut tank.

I swapped my 48 tank to the nightster tank as well..
I get about 93 miles on a full tank before I feel uncomfortable and need to fill it up.
In canada thats about 150 km per tank.
I ride about 60 km a day for work so I fill up usually every two days.
If I had the older tank I would fill up once a day for sure.
Each tank cost me about 12 bucks canadian. In a week just for work alone I spend maybe 35 bucks on gas.

Default New tank on my Forty Eight

With about 3,700 kms on my 883, the low fuel light comes on when I've done 175 kms or so. I usually fill up immediately when happens, and put 8.5 litres in. That means I'm getting 4.8 litres per 100 kms. As it's a 12.2 litre tank, that means I've still got 3.7 litres left.

I'm pretty pleased with those numbers.

My apologies to those of you who use miles and gallons. I usually translate that sort of thing out of courtesy, but am a bit busier than usual today. Any online conversion site or app will give you the numbers you need to see.

60 miles (+/-2 miles) for every tankful on my 48. Doesn't worry me that I am filling up so frequently.

IMHO the 48 is all about the peanut tank and it really does lose some of its look with the bigger tanks
