Rear brake squeaking before and after new pads
2014 Iron 883.
I had some minor squeaking happening once in a while, but it wasn't consistent, and I couldn't re-create it when I wanted to.
I took my bike in for it's 5000 mile and had them check, they said pads were fine.
But they kept squeaking once in a while.
800 miles later I needed a new rear tire and had them check em again. I needed new pads this time so I had HD replace them.
Still squeaking, I thought it was because they were new and it had to get that coating off, but now it's about 300 miles later and it's much worse now, almost every-time I slow to a stop. I hear it at about 40mph and below when braking, and I don't hit my rear brake very hard, just softly as an addition to my front brake.
Anyone have a similar experience? What's going on?

My '14 Iron has been doing the same after a month of buying her last year. I took her into the dealer and all they said was that it’s normal. I’ve read around here that the squealing is normal on our sportsters but I feel something needs to be done to address that problem instead of just saying it’s normal. I’m actually taking my pads off this weekend and putting some break pad lubricant on them to see if that helps.

I had no squeak today, I did nothing. It was a bit cooler weather today, but not much.
