Question FatBoy 7" headlight on a sporty?

I've seen some photos of this done. I have an 2014 iron 883 and I'd love to slap this light on it.

Has anyone here done it? Is it an easy swap out? Or are there some other things you need?

I'm going to be getting a headlight mount bracket so that I can ditch the little stock visor.

The swap is easy on a bottom mount light setup.
This is a Drag Specialties 7" (like a Fatboy)

If you can drill a straight hole in the bottom tree , that would make it easy.
I don't think I've seen it done on a top mount , but who knows?
Nice lighting upgrade at night anyway , I like the look too.

What stock # is that 7" headlight? I looked through the Drag specialties catalog but couldn't pin down which one it is.

Yeah I'm the 883 though, it doesn't have the bottom mount like that. I'd have to get it drilled or something.

Looks really good on 48's with those fatty tires

http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/Modu...HL-BRK-MOD.htm Looks like you can use this with drilling.

It really suits the 48 because of the mid glide forks and fat tires. It also looks good with the 4.5 gallon tank. I'm not so sure about the Iron though. It has more of a lean look to it.

I can't load the above image for some reason. But I think I saw it earlier on my phone.

I found another thread on a different forum where someone had done a 7" british style headlight, and I'm doing something similar.

I ordered up a 7" satin blacked out light with side mounts. I ordered some black fork mounts and I'm going to make a gravel guard for it as well. With the fork bag I run it should beef up the front of the bike a bit and balance out. I don't like the 7" lights on irons without a fork bag, looks weird to me, like someone with a big nose.

I'll have to measure it out and see once I get this light in, but I might try to stack my stock smaller headlight above it, could be an interesting look. I've never seen stacked round lights before on a bike.
