What I meant was to see if the dealer had any lying around the back. I wouldn't buy new ones from the dealer.

You could install the Thunder Torque inserts from DK, should quieten it down and improve your low/mid power as well.

Why would we laugh about you?

I have my XLC 2012 since new, I had to change one muffler because it was heavily corroded inside, I just bought a set of second hand OEM mufflers for cheap.

I hate loud exhausts...

By the way, 883 & 1200 mufflers are the same ones...

You can find "take off" pipes that someone else took off their bike for a inexpensive price. Also, ask the dealer about take off pipes if you are in a hurry to get the noise issue resolved. I will say that stock exhaust is quiet, some may say too quiet.

I think more folks will make fun of you for having blood coming out of your ears than for not wanting to have a too loud bike..

Harley's don't sound like Harley's until you get rid of the restrictive stock exhaust. My bike is loud and i always wear ear plugs when i ride. As loud as the exhaust is at highway speed wind noise is louder. I did not remove my baffles on my Cycle Shacks slip ons but if i ever buy a bagger i will leave the exhaust stock because after 2-3 hours of riding the loud exhaust can become annoying sometimes.
