Default New (to me) Nightster

I've had a Honda Shadow for about 8 years or so and decided that it was time to get some more power. I found a 2011 Nightster with 9500 miles for a pretty good deal. I just picked it up today and am loving it so far, but all the reviews I read about the suspension sucking were spot on. I'm not sure it it would ride any rougher if I replaced the shocks with a solid metal bar.

Congrats, I'm starting to like those over the custom I've bought so that's probably what my wife will own come next summer.
I've never understood the problems with shocks, I've turned my 2014 rear shocks up one click from the low position and been pleased so far. Guess I've never compared them to anything else.

These ones are currently on the second from the lowest setting and some bumps on the freeway almost cracked a tooth or two.. I might try the lowest setting but I'm around 180 lbs so I would think that I wouldn't need the lowest but I guess we will see.

Go up not down on the shock settings.
