finally, a smooth biltwell sporty 8 seat
ive been waiting around for biltwell to make a smooth solo seat for the 48. I emailed them, messaged them, ect...no plans on making one was what I was told. I didn't want one with the checkered pattern or stripes, I just wanted it smooth and simple. last week I was surfing around and checked their site and there it was! so I ordered it. recently ive been riding on a nice "frame on" seat by mother road customs that's looks cool as hell but after 150 miles can make you shed a tear when you hit a pothole or a bump. the seat arrived & I put the biltwell on this morning, i'll take a trip to Montauk Saturday to road test it. about 225 miles round trip. first 3 pics are the new biltwell smooth sporty 8 seat and the last 2 are of the mother road customs "frame on" seat. I took the stickers off the oil tank and removed the sissy bar to clean up the bike a little, a 7" headlight & a rear fender chop and i'm done...

just a side note:
obviously it fits the 48 & the 883. I have an 883 tank on my 48.
corbin's 48 solo seat wont fit my 883 3gal tank they told me, only the 2 gal tank.
Fitment: This seat is a direct bolt-on for 2010 – 2015 Sportster models.
Construction: Vacuum-formed ABS plastic pan with molded polyurethane foam padding. Hand-sewn heavy-duty black vinyl cover with polyester thread. Plated steel mounting brackets.
