Default Can I pick your brains please

Hi peeps
Im just about to start my stage one work on my 2015 iron.
Ive got my list of things I need to get, but cant decide on my flash device.
I have narrowed my choice between the Powervision and V&H FP3.
Which out of these two would be best and easiest to use.
Thanks
michnig

Have not used the V&H FP3 so can't say anything about that...but I do have the Powervision. Easy to flash, has autotune so you can tweak your custom tune to your riding style, has gauge features to monitor data like engine temp, rpm, battery charge, gear, etc. and good support. I bought mine from DK Customs and get tech support from Jamie at Fuelmoto. These two companies are tops when it comes to customer service...knowledgeable and responsive which is invaluable when you don't know much about tuning.

for those of you that have the PV, do you have to have the external display attached all the time for it to work?? What methods to you use to prevent theft of your external display?

Yes...but you can remove anytime and run without it....does not need to be connected. I remove the display if I leave my bike for any length of time...I use a industrial strength velcro. See post #44 on this thread.

You only need to hook it up if you're tuning the bike, it doesn't need to stay hooked up (although it can if you want). Mine lives in a bag in the garage.

I got the SE PST with my bike. Instructions might as well be in hieroglyphics for all the sense they make to me. I've thought about the PV to replace it but they are $714 here!! I'm hoping to go to NYC next year and think i'll buy one when i'm in the states and get it delivered to the hotel lol!
