Default Ignition switch?

This spring, I started my 06 Sporty 1200. While putting on helmet and gloves, it just died, as if someone had cut the battery cables. The instruments weirded out, flashing and all, when I turned key to ACC, but when turning all the way to IGN, all black. I had replaced both cables at that time, and all was well.
Today, I go start it, and dead again. The battery tender is steady green, so I know battery is still good. Could it be ign. switch? I have already taken all cables loose, retightened, and still no ign. Guages light up in ACC

I had the same issue on mine. 06 roadster 1200. Replaced switch two times. This one seems good so far.

As far as I know, the only components all your electrical circuits have in common are the battery, the main fuse, and the ignition switch. If you're positive it's not the battery and the fuse is good, then it's probably the switch or one of the wires connected to it. Do you have a multimeter?

What do you know about it? Are there any specific questions you have? Post a picture of the one you got and I'll probably be able to help with the basics.

If your buying a meter get a Fluke. Don't waste money on a cheap meter. You'll get more use & longer life from a good meter. And a good meter that reads amps helps if you have a battery draw you need to test.
