Was carrying inside a fork bag. But I'm looking to lose whatever bags I don't need to go for the minimalist look. So I'm gonna stick it in a ziplock bag and tape it under my seat. I have a small screwdriver that's the size of a key and lives on my keychain that I will use if I ever need to get it out.

Use the outdoor Velcro strips instead of tape. It will last longer and hold up better in the long run.

I used to have a nightrod which had zero storage room. So I bought 1 of those plastic ID card holders and put my insurance and registration papers in it then attached the 2 sided Velcro strips to the bottom of the seat and to the ID card holder. When ever I needed it I could just rip it off and stick it back on with no issues or worries for years.

I have been driving and riding for 41 years and have never been asked to show 'registration papers', only proof of insurance and drivers license. What are y'all talking about?

Maybe it's different in your state but when you get pulled over in PA/OH they ask for license, proof of insurance, and registration. The registration is a card roughly the size of an envelope and there's a colored sticker that goes on your license plate with the year displayed. You can be cited for not registering your vehicle and having it on the road without an up to date registration sticker.

I think stashing it under your seat, in a tool pouch, or anywhere that would make you get off the bike to retrieve it could be a problem. The last time a cop stopped me while riding he made me stay seated on the bike the whole time I was stopped, even while he was writing the ticket back in his car. Just saying, traffic stops can turn bad real fast now a days, don't do anything that might be construed into looking like your reaching for a weapon. I now carry mine in my wallet in my front chest vest zippered pocket.

My registration is paper and about the size of a credit card. So I keep that, my license and my insurance card in my wallet. The cops will ask for license and registration around here.
