Thanks
I sent you an email thru this system. Hopefully you got it.
I'm running SW 2015-2016 and SW wont let you open future versions.
If you are running an older version, I can send you a .stp file instead.
files send. bear in mind that I cut this with a SW plug in called HSMworks and projected the image onto the surface of the cover. You may not get useful data without that plug in.
But you should have a useable 3d file of the cover and you can use whatever software you have like Mastercam, etc to machine an image on the cover. I hope it works for ya.
Do you by chance have the CAD model for an 88 Twin Cam derby cover? I have access to Mastercam and can do the projections, but having trouble finding a good model to start with. It's a 5 hole, beveled, and domed.

Unfortunately no. The way I got a file for the sporty cover was to scan it with a Next Engine 3D scanner.
That's awesome man! Can you share the solidworks file by any chance? I'd like to make my own as well! Thanks for your service, my gunsmith was a marine.
