Default 883 help!!!!!

i have a 95 883 sportster with a 1200 swap. The guy before me did a horrible job at converting it. The fuel line is basically getting melted by the engine and is running pretty close to the carb. Harley Davidson said it was in a unsafe location. Can anyone show me how their fuel line is routed. By the way my fuel switch is on the right side of the bike and the choke is on the left. Any pictures will help tremendously.

When new your fuel line had had a convoluted plastic tube around it, to protect it from heat. It is a loose fit over the fuel pipe and just slides over. It may be that your line could be routed better, but adding an insulating sleeve should solve the problem. Your dealer may have it in stock, as it comes in 8ft lengths, #62555-95 and should be able to sell you a short length. He will also have fuel line, which should be a thick-walled rubber hose, although you should also be able to get that at any auto parts store.

I'd say it's better to see a pic of your set-up so we can visualize and offer options...
