Hey everybody! Im new here. I had a Royal Enfield military that I did a bunch of stuff to, and then I sold it and got a 2015 sportster 48.

Did some stuff to it. Really love this bike. Looking to throw a 19" wheel up front so the for sale section is really what drew me to the forum. Who knows... maybe I'll be around for more than that!

If anyones into instagram I'm on there as typical.moron

Thumbs up

Welcome from Charlotte, NC. That's a sharp-looking 48 you got there.

Welcome! Cool ride. Are those Zombie Performance handlebars? How do you like the hand position?

Hey Johnny! Thanks! Yes they are. 6 bend pullback customs with internal wiring. I really like them. They're pretty comfy. They set you back in the seat a bit. He's got a lot of really cool bars, it made it a tough decision!

I was considering R E before I bought the 48. What was the reason you sold that bike? Was it too slow?

I grew up riding dirt bikes and I always wanted a street bike. I had dreamt about that RE military for about 6 years before I got it. I found a 2011 left over for 4500 brand new so I jumped on it. I chopped up some stuff on it, cut off anything it didn't "need". I really wanted to strip it down a bit. I had most of the chrome powder coated black... and swapped out a bunch of stuff for aftermarket parts. It was fun tinkering around with it. It was pretty clunky to ride, shifted rough, hit false neutrals between just about every gear. It was fun... but a pain to ride. I sold it thinking I'd lay off the bike thing for a while. 3 months later I was at the Harley dealer. Really love the 48. I plan on keeping her for a long time!

The only thing that changed after this pic, before I sold her, is that ugly red breather on the case. I ran some clear tube behind the case and mounted a smaller filter to the frame.
