Default New 2016 1200 Custom

Hi guys, I picked up a new 1200 Custom yesterday. It's going to be the around town bike as I already own an Ultra. The wife and daughter said they may actually want to learn how to ride. They said it's so cute, geez. I've been tossing the idea of a smaller bike for short trips when I don't want to drag out the 900lb beast. I couldnt justify 15K for a low rider and I've always liked the look of the sportster. Holy S***T the thing is fast.

Just to throw it out there I got it for $10,500 drive out for a blue one in case anyone is shopping. It didn't take a whole lot of negotiating. I probably could have gotten it lower in hindsight since it was too easy but I was okay with the price.

It sounds like a sewing machine so slip-ons are on the short list. I just started looking through the sportster threads. It seems like the V&H short shots are the most popular, any suggestions? I've got Rush on the Ultra and never had any complaints.

I have had cobra slip-ons on a previous xl1200c and really like them, plan on putting them on my new streetbob.

Vance & Hines 3 inch staggered slip ons sound great. Big twin riders at work say they sound better then a Sporty should.

Congrats on the new ride but where are the pics?
So many choices on exhausts and slip-ons. I have Rush and have never had any complaints. Plus you know how good they sound as you have them on your Ultra.

Congrats on the new Custom! If you think it's fast now you'll love it after a proper tune. I have 3" Python Mambas on mine and love them. Let's see those pics....

I went with the Khrome Werks HP+ slip-ons. Deep sound, plus they actually add HP and Torq. Another person at work has the 3" V&H Slip-ons. They sound great also.

Welcome from NC and congrats on the new addition. My Custom has been my 'around towner' as well since I got the King. Still a fun ride for me and a change of pace. I have SEII on mine and sound pretty good to me. The Rush on my King sounds good as well. I'd get something different from the Rush as a change...jmo

I think we all know what a Custom looks like, but we never get tired of looking at pics.

Congrats on the Custom. I just picked up my 2016 48, and am in the same dillema of of what pipes and Intake. I'm leaning towards the V&H Grenades & Intake, with an FP3 set up.
