I like where you're going with this! Going to be watching the progress!

You wife will really like the handling improvement that will come with making her bike the coolest (at least in my opinion) Sportster around. When I put a Fat Bob front end on my kid's Nightster it was like day and night difference.
BTW, nice Street Bob Duo Glide. Who woulda thunk to do that!

Ahhhhh. It please's me that the masters are showing up to encourage the once student. The FL Dyna thing caught on so well Harley came out with the switchback.
Last night I ground on the lower FL tree til about 0730. Thought I'd give the neighbors a break- I live in respectful neighborhood. Then started with the heat to remove the lower FL bearing- that dude was on their tight. Took an hour to remove. On this build the fork stop must be ground off on the sportster frame neck. I've been test fitting and I pretty confident that I can make this work.

Maybe the mid glide sportster came out because marketing and research spotted the Fat Bob sporty done by AFFM3 above.
I'm glade my wife chose red as her accent color-we went to Montana in November and stopped by the dealership and she fell in love with a white sportster with PINK pinstripe and accents. When I finish this build it'll make her happy and I can still take it out once in a while. The mustang seat will be done with red thread-diamond tuck and flow with the tank nameplates.

I assume you are going with a FLS front spoke wheel up front, gonna match it with a spoke in the back? They are available just don't know if there are used ones around.
My upholstery wouldn't redo my Mustang seat because they glue their vinyl to the foam and the seat would be ruined. Stock H-D seats can be redone and with the use of quality foam, can be made even better than a Mustang for comfort.

Yup. A guy had a set of 2013 deluxe wheels on CL in my home town. Contacted him and he agreed to come by the house. I bought the front only. Already got a 16" tire delivered and I'm watching for a sportster rear take off. I can wait till I find one for the right price or trade. The mustang seat is a go-Mustang is sending seat material swatch and thread color sample to the house for wife approval. The stock sportster seat could be cut back I guess but 4.5 gallon tanks require a different seat than peanut tank.

As not to limit your options...FWIW a 2002-07 Touring Rear wheel would the same as the sporty wheel. It's just flipped, no offset difference
