Default Installed a sound system on the Sporty! Pics.

Hello all!

This past weekend i decided that I wanted to put some tunes on the sporty. I bought this sound system on Amazon for around 80 dollars. The brand is Boss Audio MC400. It's loud for a 600W peak system.

Since the sporty's have such limited room for any accessories, I custom made a bracket out of 16 gauge steel. I traced out the amp on the sheet and left a one inch tab about 3 inches wide so I could pinch it in-between the motor mounts. I then zip tied the amp to the steel plate and ran the wires up and under the plastic housing under the tank.

I then installed a toggle switch near the battery tender connection. I was originally going to wire the amp to my brake light, but I realized that i'd be blowing out fuses.

Conclusion: For what I paid for the system, i'd give it 4 stars. It will sound distorted with some songs, but you can't expect top notch quality for 80 dollars.

Enjoy!

Nice job but can you hear the speakers over your pipes....you must blast the volume. My speakers are in my helmet and I still have difficulty hearing the music on rev....maybe I am just hard of hearing.

None-the-less, very niffty set-up. Usually see speakers in fairings but not on the frame downtubes.

I can hear the speakers over my pipes while I'm cruising, and what I mean by that is being able to hear it while riding the streets. I can't really hear anything above 50 because of the wind noise and my short shot pipes. It does kinda defeat the purpose, but I do a lot of street riding. It works for me.
