Looks more like what I really need and cheap enough to be worth trying. How does it attach?

You need to drill a hole in the kickstand to bolt on. Again, I will try to take pics with the kickstand up so you can see the position of the extension.

That sucks. Looking at it I thought it might clamp on somehow. I'm thinking drilling through the stand is not going to be easy.

LOL just need a good drill and bit. Wasn't too bad, but I changed my kickstand to a shorter one so I had it off the bike when I drilled.

Tip: use a really small bit first for a pilot hole, makes it much easier...

And be sure to use cutting oil liberally. NOT motor oil, WD-40 or any other such. It does make a huge difference.

Here are the pics with the kickstand up. Perhaps you can see if it will help your situation.

Its held on with a single (allen or torx) bolt ? It does look like it's easier to grab
with your boot heel...

thanks,

T.

Yes - a single bolt. The sides come down at the mounting area sandwiching the kickstand so the extension is pretty sturdy. In the top view pic, you can't even see the kickstand so it was a bitch to find without an extension. Works for me. Good luck!

If there is anything I do not like about it is the other end of the bolt scrapes the ground (see pics with kickstand down) and damages the concrete where I park...but I guess that can be resolved if you position extension a little higher on the kickstand. But IMO it is properly positioned based on the curve of the kickstand.
