Default STILL HAS A COUGH

Alright guys.... The bike is an 05 883C and Has SEII pipes, stage 1 screamin eagle air cleaner kit, and a stage 1 jet kit but the bike is still having a case of the coughs while at idle and cracking the throttle or trying to take off quickly.
Any new suggestions??

Sounds like you're stil lean on the low speed side. You may need to turn the mixture screw out a bit more.

Mine's an '06 883C with same SEII's, Stage 1 Airkit and dealer changed low jet, still has a cough when I crack throttle on a downshift to match RPM's.

Where's the mixture screw on the CV carb? Anyone have a pic?

Cheers,
Marc

I know what you mean. I have a 1200C w/185 main, and 45 pilot. That solved 95% of the situation, but I still get the caugh every once in a while. I tried the mixture screw in a bunch of different # of turns, and even went up to a 46 pilot just to see if that made a difference. Nope. Still did it occasionally. Went back to the 45 pilot, and now am starting to think that there may be an issue in the accelerator pump circuit. I dont know. It seems to do after holding a continous part throttle position for an extended period of time, then go to crack the throttle.
I havent given up, but still trying to figure it out.
