Thanks!

Stuff done:
  • Put on a pair of small Arlen Ness mirrors.
  • Re-mounted the speedo.
  • Wired tail lights and indicators.
  • Made a cover for the speedo in perforated aluminium, but I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Bike started sputtering and coughing through the carb, and throws a p0374 code (CKP out of sync). I went through the troubleshooting guide in my Clymer manual and it suggests a grounded or broken wire, but I can't find anything wrong anywhere. I'm going to try on a CKP sensor from a friends bike to see if the sensor has gone bad. I don't think so but I've read that the sensors often fail in the '04-'06 sportys, so maybe.

Also need to finish up the fender. Thinking of welding on the end pieces I chopped off further in, and modify the brackets so it sits closer to the tire.

And I need to clean up the garage... It's a classic example of entropy.

I really dig that back fender!

I want to do something like that, eventually, to my Slim.

Actually, I dig just about everything you've done. One idea I'll be stealing is the coil mounted ignition for my wife's 48. It has a tank lift and the ignition is located down on top of the primary. She probably doesn't care, but I think it looks better right there by the coil, like yours.

Thanks!

One thing to consider when mounting the ignition there is that the vibration might break it. I saw someone here had experienced that. I've added some thick rubber washers to prevent that hopefully.

I made the "speedo cover" a little bit smaller. Much better like this I think.

Finally got around to finish up the front turn signal indicators.

Superglued a cheap watch to a bottle cap.

Yeah, they are awesome. I like your bike btw!

Pic from earlier today. No rear fender here. I'm working on a cover plate for the cables under the seat and have to take it off to remove the seat.

Finished the cover plate for the wiring under the seat and reinstalled rear fender.
