Default Project blacked out modder

So I bought my first Harley a couple of months ago, an all stock 883R except for S&S mufflers.

Preliminary plans (most of it done or in progress).
  • Lower rear (Switched the stocks to a pair of 11.5" Progressive 412's but want to go lower, so I've ordered a pair of 10.5").
  • Lower front. <strike>Plan is to cut stock springs and drop it about 2"</strike>. Ordered a Progressive drop in kit.
  • Knobby tires. Duro Hf904 rear and Dunlop Trailmax front. (I'm a Jeep guy and I like my tires knobby...)
  • Short rear fender.
  • No front fender.
  • Round mesh air filter.
  • Wrapped pipes.
  • Solo spring seat.
  • Relocated speedo (lower).
  • Relocate headlight to lower tree, lose eyebrow and add grill.
  • Relocated ECM behind battery.
  • Tracker style handlebar with old school grips.
  • Relocate coil and ignition key.
  • LED turn and tail lights.
  • Paint rims, mufflers and other bits and pieces black.
  • Side mounted license plate.
  • Tank painted black (temporarily with plasti dip for now. Will do a proper job later when I've decided on the color).

Here are some progress pictures in no specific order:

Mesh air filter and wrapped pipes. Still waiting for crank case breather kit to arrive.

Coil and ignition key relocated.

Tires.

Painting trees.

My giant LED turn signals.

get some black rustoleum paint and start painting the nuts & bolts, it will make a big difference.

I like the old school mesh filter. What brand is it and where did you order it from?

Brand is V-Twin Manufacturing. I got it from a local store, but here it is on eBay:

Crank case breather kit installed. I'm gonna cut the hose at the center below the air filter and put a small filter there. Just need to get a t-piece.

Also need to find a way to secure the carburetor to the engine. Was thinking of fabricating a bracket of some sort at first, but I think I'll just go the zip ties route for now.

Also found the perfect spot to place the choke ****.

Lets play find the turn signal... They are even street legal in Europe (E-marked). They shine bright as hell for their size. I will make a video of it when I'm finished with the wiring.
