Man it's been hot up here in Kansas too! Want to ride but just don't feel like it.. It's funny you're considering a sissy bar, I've been throwing around the idea too. But I'm thinking about a taller one. One I can strap stuff too if I go on a trip. But I do like that little one too. Can't wait to see your air cleaner cover all finished up. Should be sweet! And definitely different. Different is good! Haha

lol yea man i think ive adapted to being stuck in traffic in 107+ heat now. i am almost done with the air cleaner but want to add a trim around the mesh and front cover so i have to source the metal and fab it up. i might do a ride from dallas down to the lonestar rally november 4th so i have to get a quick detach windshield and sissy bar soon. bikes still in project mode so theres alot i want to do. heres some pics of my recent small add ons. also bought a black knurled arlen ness shift peg. the old rubber one is leaving dirt all over my boots so it was time.

changed the front bulbs and covers out to clear and amber bulbs

blacked out my mirrors and sportster plate on the air cleaner

built a new sturdier and adjustable bracket to hold my LED light bar

and the air cleaner cover so far
getting some paint

up
close on the mesh

and the girl lined up at a local dallas bike meet up night

Well i spent the past 3 hours making up my own curse words. This was theee hardest thing ive done to the bike so far. Replacing the old shifter peg with the arlen ness one i bought. I read that they used red loctight from the factory on these. I cut away the old rubber with a razor, heated it where the threads are and used vicegrips a few beers and some muscle strain. But i got it going and now its changed

Now to go slap this on the bike and take er out for a ride

over the weekend i scouted a potential future shoot. my buddy is a pro photographer and wants to do a shoot with me the bike and a pinup model so i found a cool grungy looking area filled with Graff in the outskirts of dallas. took a few snaps of the bike there

Awesome progress man. I really like that shift peg. I just ordered an all aluminum one along with aluminum foot pegs. They're all black. That's a sick little photo spot too. There's not much like that around little small town Kansas haha. Hopefully you'll post some of the pinup shoot when it happens!

I have short hand too, you mention that you didn't feel any pull back with your new mini ape bar, will you gonna change again?

Thanks.. My buddy told me about the spot so i went to check it out. And for the bars im thinking of going with the 8" la choppers z bars that have a little more pullback or tc bros speedlines. Similar look just more comfortable and slightly higher
