ok so i got some goodies which i was planning on an easy install today after work. unfortunately like all modding.... some customization may need be done.

got a lay down license plate holder for the rear fender, a chrome low profile plate border which i bedlinerd black, the mirror convex add ons, and a new brake pedal to replaced the previous owners rash incident.

current pedal

so upon inspecting the new brake pedal which was described online to fit my ride i see the connection parts to the shaft seem to be different. my current brake pedal seems to have a ball connection that pivots.

the new pedal seems to have a slot that you put a bolt through

i dont want to send it back since i need the new pedal. is there any adapters, or shafts that will fit this pedal to my rear brakes?

if not i may consider taking Harley Scuba's route and cutting the original pedal, sanding it, drill a hole, paint and get a screw in peg for it and have a custom one

That's a brake pedal for a V-Rod (the one you bought), not a Sportster:

I installed the HD splitvision mirrors the other day. They do make a world of difference.

Exhaust question for you sportster pro's.

We have 3" circumference exhaust piping (please correct me if im wrong) from the info ive collected on the forums. Ive seen people run just headers and no slip on mufflers, people with aftermarket slip onn's have to put some screw thing with a flat part that sticks up for back pressure?!

So if i ran just headers would i still need that back pressure thing?

Another question is.. I just saw a custom bobber online with what looked to be a cherrybomb red glasspack muffler and i know those are usually for cars. Could i rig one to my bike if they had 3" circumference? What issues would i run into?

Im just curious to what i can do and cant do. Pic for referrence on the glass pack muffler

Previous owner wasnt a paint snob like i am and got some scratches and swirl marks on it that are too deep to buff out. I was going to wrap the tank and rear fender but the weather and polin isnt working with me. I dont have an indoor space thats air tight. Just going to get it re painted later in the year
