Default Engine vibration xl1200t

I have a 2016 xl1200t with 565 miles. There is excessive engine vibration felt through the foot pegs starting at 3,200 rpm. At 65 mph it's about 3,500 RPM and the vibration makes it hard to keep my foot on the right peg. So much that I now avoid any highway. I've checked to see if the front engine mounts look ok but don't see any issue. Waiting to hit 1,000 miles and will have the dealer look at it. Anyone had this issue?

Have it checked under warranty. But bikes vibrate. Even though you have a rubber mounted engine it's still gonna vibrate.

My nightster does the same thing.. Not quite that bad but you can definitely feel it in your feet starting around 65 MPH.

If you want vibrations to deal with, test ride an early non rubber engine mounted sportster.

Even my Honda X-11 has some vibrations in certain rev ranges.

Just out curiosity, but are you a like me and quite short? and have you changed the foot rest grips?

It's early days yet and it sounds to me as if those revs are a little high for such a new bike. Ride on below that worst patch and talk to your dealer when you take it in for it's first service.

Looking at the mounts won't help, you got to put a torque wrench on them.

The front motor mount bolt can come loose and cause that. Mine used to do that till I tightened the nut on the right side. Should have the tip of the bolt showing. If it's flush then the bolt has backed off.

My 2014 XL1200cp has a vibration "peak" at around 2600 rpm, then again around 3200 rpm.

I've checked all the mounts etc. Everything is tight. It is noticeable through the footpegs and handlebars . . . but not strong enough to cause any problems.

Right or wrong . . . I just assume it is normal HD.

I bought a second hand 2014 Sportster Custom last year that had been traded in with 1,200 miles on it. I'm sure now the owner traded it because of this same reason. I'm up to near 4,000 now and if I was any type of distance rider it would be gone. I've done several things to make it better but it's still not what it should be. I'm having a friend who knows much more about them try it out soon to see what he thinks.
