I have a 3.3 tank on my 2000 1200XLH, I can ride a 100 miles without going to the reserve. Pulling over after 100 miles to get gas is just fine with me I need to stand up and get the feeling back in my *** at that point anyway. If I wanted more fuel capacity and a windshield I would buy a bagger/car.

did a little updating on my 72, made it more passenger friendly for the wife......about two months old now and a little over 1800 miles on it so far and loved every mile of it.

I thought long and hard about 72 when I bought my 48.
My little girl LOVED the 72 specially with the gold flake painted one we saw at the dealer.
I loved it too, but around my neck of the woods, there are many pot holes, and 48's 49mm front won out

when I was shopping for my 72 earlier this year I noticed a lot of dealers didn't have any 72s sitting in their show room, and a lot of places I ride to people come up and ask (often on yuppie baggers) what model and year my bike is...maybe the small tank and thin front wheel kept buyers away?

the 2016 colors weren't very appealing anyhow.....

I love the looks of the 72. But that small tank, beautiful but doesn't work for me.
