Damn, am I ever sick... Nothing real bad but the first scratch always hurts the most. Walked by my 2014 Custom this morning sitting in the garage and there's now a 1 1/2" long scratch on the front fender all the way down to the metal plus it goes right through the pin strips... I was so sick I broke out in sweat all over. Not sure just what to do about it just yet. Hell, cover it with a decal or what.... I'm the only one around the bike and have no idea how this happened. Doesn't matter anyway, it's done but dang am I ever sick.
Tri coat red sunglow and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

If it's just blowing your mind beyond funk-tion, buy a new fender.

I know the first one is the worst, you got it out of the way now.

Try and touch it up or have a paint shop do it.

Yes that sucks.
Hard color to match without spraying.

Build up the scratch with tough up paint and make it smooth.
Then add another pinstripe design covering the scratch.

That's better than a decal IMO.

Good luck with the repair.

That's the solution. It's amazing what can be done with modern technology in a skilled paint shop.

I was in the garage the other day and was snugging down the derby cover bolt. Heard a banging noise and looked over and my two year old way banging on the front fender of my brand new bike with a ratchet. Luckily, I got most of it to buff out, and 99.0% of people would not see it, but it sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

I'm going to try to live with it for six months, and if by that time, I can't live with it, I'm going to get it repainted, or buy a new fender...whichever is cheaper.

Sounds like a future rider/wrencher. Should nurture that, and he'll be working on his first car, or bike, faster than you think.

Don't get sick just get some touch-up and go at it. This will not be the only one that happens.

Remember, we tend to look at our darlings a little closer. Someone walking by might not notice what glares at us.

Oh I'm sure of it. He has a strider bike and a battery powered 4 wheeler.

NW Arkansas huh. I just rode down through Eureka a couple weeks ago. There is some nice riding down there.

Yes nice riding indeed. As well as jumping over the line through Mark Twain forest and the Branson run.
