taking delivery of a 2016 roadster matte black w red pinstripes, ABS and security next week (I hope).
Please help me with air filter, fuel options and exhaust thoughts. I want to just order it all and get it on and RIDE!
I'm a newbie, but dirt rider when younger. Thank you.

No prob man! I am a service writer so this is my stuff right here.

Pipes, depends on how loud you want and what style you want.
Loud as can be you can get lots of different Vance & Hines systems, the Thunderheader (if you don't care about looks after 2 years), the D&D Bobcat(like I've got, it's AWESOME), or some cheap straight pipes.

For looks, check out the RSD Slant, it's pretty as hell. Also 2 Brothers makes a 2-into-1 in stainless that is absolutely gorgeous.

Air cleaner(how we stuck in the past H-D people call em) also is a personality-based kinda choice. I went with the new H-D SE Rail because I really like the looks. Here you really cannot go wrong as long as fitment is good and you like the look, because most aftermarket or Screamin' Eagle air cleaner kits will do the job of breathing much much better than stock.
Check out the H-D SE Stage 1 round with a round bob style cover, Rolan Sands Design(RSD), Arlen Ness. The only ones I don't recommend are the H-D Heavy Breather(bad looks) and the LA Choppers(terrible fit).

Fuel options, there are so many. Whatever you do don't waste money on the H-D "stage 1" ecm flash or any SERT(screamin eagle race tuner) good god do not do that.
What I'm (actually being done RIGHT NOW as we speak) is my dyno tech at work is performing a custom dyno tune using the Power Vision. So far as I know, it's the best tuner on the market. You don't need the full $500 tuner either. If you're getting it dyno tuned or just having a ECM flash installed, you should be able to purchase a license through whoever is doing the Power Vision tuning. Mine was only $220. (** dyno tuning, of course, is additional, for example here it's about $450.)

TBH when it comes to warranty stuff it all depends on your dealer and their service department management. How your VIN gets blocked is by literally having to report mods to Harley corporate. So as long as no one does that, you're generally okay.

And the Stage 1 is fine if you're okay with the bike still being on the lean side.

Is the rear tire on the '16 Roadster that much bigger than that 06?? I have an 05 R so it was really interesting seeing those two bikes side by side.
