Default Power pulsing when cold below 3000RPM

So I have a 2015 1200C with only 1300 miles on it. For the last thousand miles it has had this odd power pulsing problem when the motor is cold. Now when I say cold though it means it will do it even after twenty miles. At which point it should be well warmed up. It really shows up at 2500-2700rpm.
Today I saw it appear in an odd way. The bike was well warmed up and then I ended up in a really bad rain storm. Which cooled the engine down to the point that this started up again.
So it's going to be going back to the dealer in a week or two for its thousand mile service but I wanted to know what I should be telling them to look for.
How can I describe this better for everyone here?

I personally would like it described better myself. "power pulse" sounds like something on a massage chair. Also a bit more background on what has been done to the bike can help folks get a better idea. Stage one? straight pipes? New fueling system? completely stock? What are we dealing with here. Btw welcome to the forum, I used to live in PA near allentown.

Sawka,

I am down in western Berks county on the Lebanon line actually.
The bike is completely stock. I haven't modified the exhaust, the fuel system or the air cleaner yet.
It's not as quick as a message chair. The power drops more like once every three seconds or so.

Would you describe it as a sputter?

A sputter would be a good way to describe it. It feels like it is running really lean but oddly I am only getting 41mpg.

That is too low of RPM. What you are feeling is lugging, which will cause damage eventually. Don't be afraid and give it some throttle. Sportsters don't like to be below 2700-2800 rpm.

I agree, mine is pretty chuggy at anything under 3000RPM, downshift & get the revs up and it will run smooth.

Serious rookie question. I found myself in traffic quite often. Cant reach the 3k rpm at all. Also my hand gets really sore from having the clutch pulled half way. What should i do? How do you ride in traffic?

My clutch isn't even fully out until the bike is at 2800-3000 rpm. If it's that bad, I've been known to split on occasion. So I usually just leave a large gap and cruise slowly in traffic so I can leave the clutch out. Me and truckers get a long well in a jam.

I'm honestly not sure how people can ride their Sportys at these absurdly low rpm ranges, it just feels wrong.
