Changing oil (with quality oil of the proper rating) is key. Filters, schmilters; my aircraft (Beech Baron) had NO FILTERS, only a screen. The engines cost, to rebuild, as much if not more than a couple of brand new Ultra Classics!!!

BTW, there's TWO of the engines on the Baron ... neither has a filter.

That said, oil is changed every 25 hours.
