What planet are you from? No way anyone is riding my bike for a test ride without full cash money in my hand. I'm sure most feel the same.

you can also call around about shipping. I paid $90 to have my V rod shipped from the Detroit area to me about 2.25 hours away. I'd spent more than that on gas an tolls for a truck going to get it.

Like already mentioned, it's what you are will to pay and what they are willing to sell it for,

I have a 89 sportster that I have never put up for sale, don't need to sell it and I still like riding it , The engine is 1200 from a 99.

People always ask if I will sell it and what I want, one guy every years wants to buy it. I want 4500.00 or nothing. I don't need to sell, But the day someone gives my what I want I will sell. It's not your average 89, see picture below. I know most people will say I'm crazy, LOL that's alright , I don't need the cash.

This is the one I negotiated down to 3300. I just realized that the black paint on the motor isn't stock. dont like that.

2003 I think will be the last year solid mount and the 06 will be rubber mount not as much vibration.

i paid ~4400 for my 07 883 w/ 187miles. a 2012 custom is about $6-7k. anything over $2000 for 2003 down is insane i don't care if it shoots diamonds out the exhaust... the market is flooded.

2003 and earlier don't have isolated motors and vibrate a lot. I'd pay more for the more modern bike. Also, around the late 2000s EFI became standard and that's worth something too.
