Yeah, i did the same math, but, its no good to me if I cant take it with me 6 miles on the bike is better than 6 miles walkin!

I hear what you're saying. I agree. Right now I can strap it to my sissy bar but I am currently working on fabricating a cradle/holster. It's a work in progress.

Could be Aluminum. My MSR bottles, I've had for decades, are Aluminum.
MSR 11 oz. and 20 oz. bottles are made in Washington, USA. Their 30 oz, is made in China.
Nice component matching, figuring out the PVC matches the container's threads.
We use a 20 oz, for our duel-fuel camp stove (Coleman fuel or gasoline) and as a reserve of gas for the scooters. We have larger than 3.3 glln gas tanks on the bikes, but 20 oz. of insurance, makes me feel better. For us, it's a good size for stowability vs. capacity. I can understand wanting more. It's a bitch to find premium gas in NW Maine.

Go on Ebay and get a used MSR fuel bottle and it will have that patina beat up look or they have almost new ones for a good price. MSR makes very good quality gear.

Great warning thread. I've kicked mine around in 100° heat in the back yard, but I imagine further testing will be needed.

Maybe I'll make a tiny fuel trailer to tow about 20 feet behind my scoot.
