Default What bike nearly tempted you to trade in the Sportster?

Took a ride to our no so local HD dealer just to poke around, and one of the sales men saw me eyeing a Breakout and a Softail Slim, two bikes that are trying to tempt me away from my 48 (especially the Breakout). He talked me into taking the 16 Slim for a test ride and it didn't do it for me. A bike I thought I would like since I'm much narrower than your average Harley rider and can't do the wider bikes. I don't how how to explain it, but I just didn't enjoy the ride as much. Didn't have as much push as my 48 does, but that's a stock Slim vs a lightly supped up Sportster.

TLR - What bike tempted you to trade in the Sporty but didn't live up to your expectations after the ride?

I used to have a Street Bob and foolishly sold it; still kinda have the itch for another but am currently int he honeymoon period with my 883 Iron ... I'll have a blast with that little bike in Daytona but Good Gosh, can't Harley make a comfortable seat? Today was the first ride with a mustang seat I picked up right here from a fellow member ... aaaaahhhhh!

I don't understand, "trade it in". I do understand, "add another one". I understand that too well, need a bigger garage...

The 14 XL1200T Super Low forced me to immediately trade in my 11 XL1200L. Nothing could tempt me to trade in my 09 XR1200 or 03 883R. They will have to pry them from my cold dead hands.

At some point in time the latest model T Super Low could tempt me to trade the 14 especially if it has cruise and ABS.

A dealer near me has a near mint XR1200 and a Buel Firebolt up for grabs. Nearly added one to my stable.

I just did, traded for a 16 Switchback last week. I really liked the Sporty for short 1 up jaunts and it was way more raw and visceral that the Dyna but I'm am really liking the better 2 up ability and comfy ride. I couldn't afford paying for 2 bikes, so I went with the one that better fit my current riding style.
