Back to the lighter life.
After years of big twins I finally added a Sporty back into the Stable.
I traded my '14 Slim in for a '16 Roadster.
This is my third Sporty. First one was a '73 XLCH that I butchered up into a chopper. Sold it after 10 years and ended up with a 01 883. That one got totaled in 03 when a lady decided to make a hood ornament out of me and my bike.
Bought a Fatboy, which I still own, and then went through a few big twins, In 2014 I went to the dealer set on trading in my Ultra for a Sporty but ended sitting on a Slim and really liked it.
Then Harley came out with the 16 Roadster. This is what a Sporty was meant to be. Light, good power and good brakes so the Slim got traded in and now I'm digging this Roadster.
Handles awesome, doesn't scrape at every turn and is easy to whip in and out of tight places. I forgot just how much fun it can be on something so light.
I've got some Roland Sands goodies coming (2 into 1 stainless Slant pipe, air filter kit, tuner and rearsets) other than that I about the only thing I might add is a bikini fairing. Just can't think of anything else the bike needs. Harley did good on this one.
I'll post up more after the break in is done and the RSD goodies are installed.

Thats the exact bike I was about to buy, but found my 2012 Nightster for half the bill.
Awesome bike, probably the most capable sport rider harley has put out since the XR
I like the color combo too, but I may be biased...
I Love the front end on that thing, but just couldn't justify it for the price difference. Ill beef up my brakes and accept my standard forks for now. The Buell and Duc go on my aggressive trips anyways...
Enjoy it!

I'd hate to have to choose, glad I have both a big twin and sportster. Two different riding experiences, like both. Both were older and used, would go that route again before only being able to have one new one. If I could convert another sporty to somewhat off road capability and get another big twin with a sidecar, I'd have most of my bases covered.
