I've been using them for the last 10k miles front and rear, very satisfied. I just wish I had a better understanding of how they work, but the information is out there if I took the time to read it.

Had them in my touring tires for over 25k miles so far.......they work!

They do not balance. They may dampen but if they do that, the tire would have been fine without them. They use to throw bags in truck tires. Look around. The pros that travel fast out west now have balance weight (hooked on) That is the only way you can truly balance a wheel. If it's wide (most Harley's are now), it actually needs to be balanced dynamically which means spinning with electronic sensors that show two locations so they can balance at angles and different areas on both side.
