I bought a used Daymaker and it the LEDs are flickering when I turn it on. However, I haven't fired up the motor with it installed yet due to some ongoing work. Could they be flickering because they're pulling straight from the battery and not the stator? Has anyone else had this problem before?

 

I installed a Vision X LED 5.75" XMC-575RD headlight with a Hi and Lo adapter HLH14. When Im riding at night it will go out for a second once in a while. Havent tried reconecting the the plugs yet or riding with the Hi Lo module removed to see if it makes a difference. They have another module to reduce flicker on CANBUS systems as well HLCBA. Hope you get it figured out. In the summer I remember a member bought 2 Chinese Daymaker copies cause they were cheap and 1 was better than the other.

 

Check that all your connectors and grounds are clean and tight. Then run your engine, to see if your light works OK.

 

start your bike and see what happens. my led headlight does not do that off the battery.

 

Got it back together and fired it up, no more flickering while it's running. Guess I should be look into a new battery soon.
