Stage 1 kit to 1200 cc, Screaming Eagle intake
i have an opportunity to buy an 08 1200c. it is advertised as having a
Stage 1 kit to 1200 cc, Screaming Eagle intake. the search i did showed this could have issues. the price is only 4gs. seems low. could the bike have issues. i know nothing.

for 4Gs you could do better if this bike seems funky.

it seems confusing to me. it looks like the 1200 custom engine. not grey powder coat, but has an 883 tank. it said stage 1 kit to 1200cc, Screaming Eagle intake. i don't know much but haven't seen an 883 with the blacked and chrome fins of the 1200 custom. asked them to call me in an email. my gut says pass.

yes but,
i paid ~4400 for my 2007 883 with 187 miles on it over 4 years ago.
then there's:

so is it really an "opportunity"?
we have no way of knowing if it has issues. possible depending on who bumped it from 883 to 1200 s1. owner have receipts? if you really want it. have the seller take it to the nearest dealer and you pay for the pre-purchase inspection (PPI) (~$100-150). the dealer will rummage through it and report back to you on it's seaworthiness. if the seller is willing to fix anything they find, low ball him! lol. or use the found issues, if minor, as bargaining chips.
sound good?

it was converted to 1200 from 883. a highlighted kit was used (blacked and chrome fins)
you can get a low miled stock 2011+ custom for close to the frankenbike's asking price. it's winter too... dealer will make outrageous deals.

if the seller cant explain what he is selling, id walk. I would hope he just mean he has a 1200c with a stage 1. is it on CL post any photos you have. but if it was a stage 1 883 with 1200 kit on it that totally cool . Just depends on how it was installed. Just seems weird how its being described
