Default Fuel tank

Installed springer. Risers hitting fuel tank. I need a lower and/or shorter tank that will allow front end to turn sharper. Is there a direct bolt-on or do I have to go custom?

Sorry Russty. I was tired when I posted my problem. The bike is a 2001 XL1200C.

Have the King peanut on it now. Just joined ABATE. Went on short run last Saturday (Frosty ***** Run). But Treasurer told me that some of the runs are 100 miles or better. would like at least 4-gal or more low-lying fat bob type that would be a direct bolt-on. Just can't seem to find what I'm looking for online.

Have you considered a 'swingarm' type bag with a spare fuel bottle?
For example, here's an old pic:

I think his point was 100 mile nonstop runs, which if your riding with the BT guys is often on the short side of miles between fuel stops. Kind of hard to use a fuel bottle at cruise speed.

Ok, so if stopping for a refuel isn't an option, I believe there was a
thread about a guy who did 'adapt' a FabBob tank to his Sporty.
IIRC, this was a few years ago, so hopefully the forum 'search' function
will help....

Thanks for the info. Will try the search function and see what pops up.

Swing arm fuel storage is still pretty good idea.
