Found this thread quite educational.

Some parts book research revealed that XL sliders have changed since 1994.
-94, -97, -00, -04, - 05, -09, -11
2016 superlows use , -11 sliders
tubes went through less revisions, -92, -97 , -05 ,-09
2016 superpowers use , 09 tubes

Understand reason to go back to stock tube length, since the long tubes, with probably no rake adjustment in the neck bearing cups would the trail length out in orbit
And quite difficult to handle.

 

Ok got the lowers now on to locate a axel and spaces and nut from 2000 and later front end. Also need the bolts that will mount her caliper to the fork.
Anyone out there got anything to help?

Hard to tell from pic...did you polish those sliders or are they chrome from the extended front-end?

 

I think he managed to use the chrome original ones but I'm not positive. I just put it together test ride it and got out before she started on ANOTHER project lol
