That's some dumbass crap right there. Never put pressure on your spouse to do something that may endanger her life. If they aren't comfortable riding on the highway, don't force them.
Pros and cons to having a spouse ride their own. Double the insurance, double the gas, double the maintenance. Plus worrying about the way they ride.
Pros...you have another bike to ride.

My ex went through a new used bike about once a year.
1st bike-94 Honda VLX 600- sold a month later
2nd - 2003 Honda 750 ACE- sold 14 months
3rd-2002 Honda Sabre 1100- wrong color- sold after 8 months
4th -2002 Honda Sabre 1100- right color- Champion hardbags-drove 1200 miles to buy this one. Lasted almost a year
Introduced her to my Triumph Sprint Sport Tourer. She ditched the cruisers after that ride.
Next for her was a Suzuki Bandit 1200 with 5 degree timing mod along with a bunch of Holeshot mods.

Having a spouse ride her own can be expensive.

As for the bare fender.....my current wife was told to either ride on the fender(as a joke) or we were taking her car.
She hopped on the fender, and we drove all over downtown Houston (from the outer suburbs.) Best and last first date I've had. Thank God she's only 5'0 and a size "0"

Bought the current wife 2 bikes. A Honda 250 Nighthawk & a Yamaha 535 Virago.
She never grew comfortable riding her own, and so now she's only riding on the back.
Ever hear Happy wife equals happy life? There is some truth to it.

I was gonna say put a trailer hitch ball on the fender and carry a tub of vasoline... Would that be safer?

But then how would you reach the shifter?

Everyone will share with you what they like...but you gotta get what you like.

Myself, I have a Sporty and a Softail...cause that's what works for me.

I think you need to get to the dealer and do some test riding. If looks are important to you, then only test ride the models that you like the looks of...you will know after some seat time in each one, which one you like best.

Another one for the Low Rider S.

I just got one, best bike the MoCo has bought out in 20 years.

It's really what these bikes should be stock, good engine, good brakes and good suspension.

Easy answer: softail. Forget the Dynas for long distant cruising. You get a softail you'll have the ultimate in cruising comfort and power.
