Default Oil Leak - Worth Fixing?

Let my Sporty sit for about 4 months and she basically bled out. Leak is heaviest around the primary gasket (left side of the engine), but also directly below the front of the engine, middle (almost directly under oil filter).

Asked my local shop for their opinion and they said it's not worth tearing the engine down to fix since a 98 Sporty will "always have leaks". I drained the oil and there was only a quart of oil that came out so I would consider that a pretty serious leak...

Thoughts? The primary gasket should be easy enough to fix but my concern is the leak directly under the front of the engine - seems like it might be a rabbit hole to get to...

What year, may be a crank sensor. Sportys hold the oil in a tank not the bottom of the engine

1998 - I drained oil from normal drain plug, does that only drain from the engine? I.e. is there still oil in the tank is what you're saying?

How many leaks did you have 4 months ago, before you parked it?

Regardless of whether you choose to fix it or not, you should know that the advice given you by the local shop is horse ****. A 98 sporty won't "always have leaks".

I have the same issue my bike was sitting for 4 years. I have never done it before but I am going to pull the cover and replace the gasket.
