Question removing rear head temp sensor

I've been hacking at a 1/2 deep wall socket for a day or so trying to get enough room for the wire. PIA!

any there easier ways to get them out (and in) short of buying the hd tool or murdering sockets?

i will resume chopping at it later. would love a "less character building" method.

Your already doing exactly what I would do, sometimes you just gotta find a way.

You're not a million miles away from what the HD tool looks like, you just need to take a bit more out and you'll be good to go. HD uses a 6 point style socket I believe.
Be patient putting the new one in so as not to cross thread it and don't over tighten it.

I just zipped through a 1/2” box end wrench. Took 30 seconds and worked like a charm.

Auto zone has a set of loaner slotted sockets. A flair nut wrench should work.
