MY SPORSTER CUT OUT ON ME JUST AS I WAS PASSING A COUPLE OF SLOW CARS I ALSO HAVE A FUEL LIGHT COMES UP WHEN DOING 50mph ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX??????????

 

My '06 lost power, limped along for a while and then recovered. Turned out to be a bad ignition coil.
I also lose the speedometer occassionally, and sometimes fuel/engine lights come on. After much reading and messing with it, I'm convinced its an electrical ground problem.

Redo as many electrical connections as possible with die-electric grease, also remove the fuses and reinstall with die-electric grease, usually corroded.
I also did this with the 12 volt light bulbs.
It's gotta do some good.
