Got it started, shifter still bent, not affecting any operation, just ugly...
battery died, charged it, started again and left for supper, came back and battery dead again.
Well poop, this is gonna be good.....
If I don't figure it out by Monday the dealer is picking up to fix.....

Very good, you will get a lot out of it. Then, by yourself, or with a patient friend, practice, practice, practice. Since balance, and the weight dynamics of a m/c are so important, and so very different than an auto, it takes time to learn how to ride, and it takes time to learn how to ride in traffic with other vehicles. Two separate areas of skill and knowledge that blend together. Don't rush it, and don't be influenced by clowns.
