Default New guy sporty problems!

What's going on everyone , I have a 1998 1200 sporty. just put N8 cams built heads with a mild port polish job. Bike is running great but today it started whining while ridding. It only does it in 2,3,4th gear 5th is fine. Anyone have any ideas on what that could be

Welcome to the forum. I would check the oil level for the primary drive as the first step. There will be instructions for that in your service manual.
