Default Hi from Belfast w/fuel-mileage question

1st time harley rider. Got an 883iron. Question is how many miles do you roughly get from a tank of fuel. TIA

This is the new ride. <br/>

Hi from across the Irish Sea and welcome to HDF. You're going to confuse many of the members in here, as they only have pint-sized gallons, instead of our more manly ones. The US gallon is only .8 of a full-cream UK gallon! So if they get say 40mpg, you can expect to get around 50mpg.

Yet it's a bit more complicated still, because they also have quite different fuel to us and not just because they tend to call theirs 'gas', it doesn't have the same contents as ours. Believe it or not I get better mileage from my Buell Firebolt than my wife does from her SuperLow, which miffs her!

Being a young whippersnapper you probably whizz around at breakneck speed, which will affect mpg, so I suspect that between 40 and 50 is going to be a typical figure.

Welcome!
I'm guessing you're concerned about the light coming on, and how much farther you can travel? If you will figure out what your mileage (per gallon or liter) is first, you can extrapolate. In think for most, the light comes on with about a gallon left in the tank.
Most reports I see, 35-50 MPG depending on city/highway.
