Default gas Mileage comment

Getting close to 2k miles on the bike and gas mileage seems to be improving, anyone else notice a difference as miles increased?

I just hit 3,000 miles (2 months riding), but I'm not seeing any changes. My mileage seems to be consistently around 47 - 48 mpg. Windscreen might hold the mpg down some. Wish I got 50+, but hey, it is what it is!

Ride safe!

Yes, my gas mileage increase from brand new up to around 1,500 miles, then it kinda settled in.

I'm adding to this post instead of creating a new one.

My bike ran out of gas today at 152 miles on the tank. I usually don't fill up till 175-180 miles. I was pretty surprised that it ran out this quick. Could mean bigger problems.

Probably mean you're getting into cooler weather. With that comes longer warmup times, and decreased fuel mileage. There is a considerable difference in my mpg in Feburary versus in July.

When I bought my 05 1200 it had 1300 miles and I got a good 50 mpg. Now with 15,000 + miles I'm getting a good, constant 55 mpg.

My bike is running better now (5,400 miles) than it was when I first purchased it (2,200 miles). Gas mileage is consistent at 50 mpg.
