I thought they made a wrinkle black that withstood 500*??? It's on J&P.

I painted my with high temp paint about 18 months ago and they look just like the day I did it. I also painted the top have of my rocker covers black, because on a 1200R everything is annodized.

FWIW, I have wrinkle blacked everything on an HD engine except the exhaust pipes. Cases, barrels, heads - the paint holds up on them with no problem.

Do you have to use the wrinkle paint on already wrinkle painted parts or will any high temp mat black paint work?

Also, did you break down the motor or just tape it off and spray it?
