After much aggravation and foul language I have managed to post a photo gallery of our '05 1200C Sporty! Dealer had already installed an upgraded carb and the D&D pipes before we bought it. Sounds great and even sets off some car alarms in the parking garage at work.

Man, I'm having a blast with this bike!!!

If you go the Photo Gallery sort by date added and it will be near or at the top. Sort by member name and look for MyGirls.

I like those pipes. Uber loud? A lot louder than SE II's? Can I ask where you got them and what you paid? Full pipes or slip-ons? Part no's?

I'm building my Xmas list - collecting all the info.

Thanks.

bensonjv,

I am new to riding and pretty much tech illiterate - forgive me, I am learning everyday. The pipes are from D&D Exhaust and were already installed by the dealer when I bought the bike so I am not sure if they are slip-ons or full pipes -- is there a way to tell by looking? I think the price was around $1000 but I'll have to check the sales invoice to be sure. Bike was about $2K above MSRP but had the pipes, upgraded carb, smooth rim laced wheels, security system and 2-tone paint.

As for the sound, it was the reason I picked this bike. There were two 1200Cs sitting next to each other outside of the dealership during an open house event. One completly stock and mine. Started the stock one first, sounded good. Started mine next -- sounded great! Deal closed! They are not the loudest I have heard. My cousin has straight pipes on her Road King and they are considerably louder than mine.

I'll check the invoice later and post the exact price.
