883 and 1200 jugs are the same.

You can go larger than 1250 however problems begin to surface.

 

good question I was wondering to[8D]I had kinda figured maybe that you couldn't or shouldn't due to it's already bored out.

 

Well according to nhrs, the harley jugs can only go to 1212 due the thickness of the iron sleeves used in the factory jugs. The 1250 kits they sell use jugs made by v-twin mgr that use a slightly thicker sleeve to accomodate the 1250 bore that nhrs does at their shop. Although going any larger than 1250, you're limited at the thickness of the iron at the skirt that fit's into engine case, so anything larger requires boring out the engine cases as well, or the skirts will be too thin and can crack.

 

My goal is to do the 90 ci mod. New heads and requires a case rebore. Is that ready to rock or what???
