First off whats the absolute largest tire that will fit on the front with the stock front fender left in place, and whats the largest tire that will fit if the fender is removed?
And does anyone know of a place to buy some oldschool looking whitewall tires from? im looking for the ones that have the large stripe.
Ive attached a pic of my bike so you can see the look im going for, i want it to look like the old cafe racer bikes, i might even consider loosing the front fender in order to put a wider tire up front. what do you guys think??

 

BTW im talking about larger width not larger diameter tire, i dont want to change rims

man i love what you did with the bars. that totally adds to the feel of the bike. I'm not a fan of the apes on this bike, but those bars are sick. i might steal that idea if you don't mind. how comfortable is it to ride like that. i like long rides and i think that would be the only thing that would stop me from flipping mine like that. it would look even better without the big ugly speedo there. i gotta find away to mount that somewhere else

as for the tires. i want the same thing but am just gonna wait till i need new tires before i change them so i haven't looked into that yet

 

I want to put whitewalls on mine, I took the bike to my local custom shop, and told him what I eventually want to do, he says whenever im ready just leave it and he'll find them since he does it to other sportsters

maybe a shop near you could tell you what kind you could order that would fit, i mean they have to order them themselves for other bikes.

I'm going to paint my sportster tank and fenders white, have whitewall tires, and a springer solo seat with mini apes or drags, dont know yet.

I went thru the same thing at the dealer the night I bought mine. I wanted the widest front tire I could get and the widest white wall. Turned out to be Avons. Sorry, I can't remeber the size. I think it was OEM.

 

I'm thinking NO speedo would be the attitude........The Nightster is already a "who cares about the Law" bike.....So take it all the way there.

Ok i measured the distance between the inner forks and its a tad bit over 5 inches. ive decided i want to loose the front fender so that i can put a fat tire up front. how can i find out what the fattest tire size will fit in that width. the oem size is 100/90/19 up front on my nightster. can any one convert this??
